Hi everybody, I have just bought a new powerhead to replace an old koralia 200. This pump is made in china and sold by all pond solutions. It is the wavemaker wm-6000, it is only 12w and moves 6000l/h. The pump comes with both suction cup fitting & mag mount also it is supplied with 2x ajustable direction nozzles so you can send your outlets in different ways. ( O, forget to say that this pump is like having 2 koralias stuck togeather). + the main advantage is the price, less than half the price of a new Koralia at just over £20.00. I have been running this pump for around 2 weeks now and it is great. Cheers Ian. - - ;D.

Jonny,
Did you read the magazine extract on UR a couple of weeks ago about powerheads?
Tunze were annihilated by Koralia and Vortech, flow was less than half quoted. Vortech flowed pretty much as advertised, and I think Koralia were a little over (or it might have been the Maxi-Jet range that pumped over spec).
I know pound for pound, the Koralia really kicked ass!

Koralia really outperformed Tunze too. I'll try find the article and let you read.
Tunze even admitted their flow tests were the wrong method, and gave higher estimated flow rates. I think the outcome was Tunze would replace the front cover of the powerhead as a quick fix. This may have been FOC.
