Well here we go.
Ian's tank.
I have been keeping fish for 23 years. I first started with trop's and then went on to marine fish only.
Five years ago I decided to have a go at keeping a reef tank. I started with a 90 gallon corner unit but 2 years ago
I decided to upgrade to a godiva 700 lt 5x2x2.

Rock and substrate
35-40Kg of Fiji live rock,1ins of coral sand made up of 1mm-3mm.
Sump
My sump has 3 compartments, 1st houses my skimmer,2nd is
the refugium with also has miracle mud in the bottom,3rd houses
the return pump + any reactors that maybe needed ie carbon.
Lighting
Twin 250 watt halides + 2X 54 watt blue t5 tubes.
( halide bulbs being used are coralvue)
Equipment list
Skimmer ( Marine Sources RDC-1600). ( MY BEST BUY )
Heaters (2x 300 Watt.)
Return Pump ( Pond solutions HT-1800 LT )
Circulation Pumps ( 1x Vortech MP20, 1x Koralia No2,1x Koralia
No4 , 1x Pond Solutions 6000LT Wavemaker )
Ro Unit ( Ro-Man 75 LT 4 Stage Pro inc Di-Filter )
UV unit installed but not in use.
Test Kits
Using full range of red sea test kits.
Additives
Red sea Reef Energy A-B.
Red sea Coral Colours A-B-C-D
Red sea NO3:PO4 ( For Nitrate & Phosphate control )
Tank Test Calcium bulk powder.
Tank Test Magnesium bulk powder.
Fish List
Tommy tang
Sohal tang
Yellow tang
Coral beauty
Lepoard wrasse
3x Green chromis
1x perc clown (only female left as mate recently passed on,17
years old,my very first pair of marine fish)
3x anthius ( 1 male 2 females )
Inverts
Sand star fish.
Black brittle star fish
Cleaner Shrimps.
Various crabs and snails.
Corals
Mixture of hard corals inc Monti's, Acro's etc.
Also a mixture of LPS inc Hammer's , Lobo's.
Different coloured mushrooms and Zoa's.
Feeding Regime
Twice a day using a mixture of frozen foods and flake + dried
seaweed and pellets.
Three times a week I feed my corals with Red sea Energy A-B.
